The New Tulip Dress

I don't really know what I can say more than....WOW.

Also, I apologize in advance because there are more pictures than normal!

But how can I NOT take 598763547 billion pictures of this?!

I love how the teal of this pretty dress brings out the red in her hair.

I love the pretty bodice and the ruffles!

I love the front tie and the puff sleeves!!

I love that this sweet dress can take us from sweet spring evenings through summer and even cooler fall days.

I know what you're thinking.

"No one likes a chatty Cathy, just tell us what the pattern info is, Lady!!"

Well fine then. At least this isn't a food blog where you have to scroll down for 15 hours to get to the recipe...

This sweet dress pattern is the new Azalea from Sunflower Seams!

It releases TODAY!!

So GO GET IT.

This pattern features long and short puff sleeve options.

The detailing on the front is optional, of course.

If you feel intimidated by the detailing, you could do a simple bodice.

But you know that's not usually my style!!

There is another detail option that I did not do, which is a sweet mini ruffle along the bottom of the pin tuck detailing.

But that's the bodice, in a nutshell!

For that sweet little front tie, I cheated. Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone.

Instead of sewing it on, I actually just used a safety pin!

It still looks adorable and it stayed there, so yay me.

Those sweet ruffles are also.....optional.

Unless you're me, obviously.

Skirt ruffles are NEVER optional!!

E-Bug thinks I'm embarrassing but I'm saying ALL THE RUFFLES PLEASE.

This beautiful fabric used for this project comes from Joann. The lighter teal is poly cotton, which I find doesn't wrinkle much after being washed.

I adore this whole look on her....her pretty red hair, that teal, and that sweet dress....perfect!!

Happy sewing!!
