I know. I KNOW. I'm going to answer your first question right now. Yes. It's real.
Well okay, maybe your first question is, "what's real? E-Bug? Yeah....she's a real kid...sure?"
Okay okay....yes...THIS is real!
I KNOW.
So maybe before I explain why there's a BABY BIRD here, I'll dive into the pattern and fabric real quick!
This amazing dress with a cascading banded skirt is the new Sunflower from Sunflower Seams.
I am in love with the skirt for sure, but those sweet crossing straps..
This pattern comes in the full range of sizes...baby, child, and juniors! I recently found out I fit juniors sizes now, I might just need to make myself one....
This beautiful double gauze fabric is from Knitfabric.com.
.....but....what about that baby bird??
We had a visitor the other day! His name is Captain Jack Mockingbird!
Looooooookkkkk!!!
A few weeks ago, my mom found a tiny baby bird on the ground, his parents were flying around going nuts. She couldn't find his nest, so she gave him to some good friends to care for.
He's getting much bigger and his feathers are starting to come in, and he is completely comfortable with people!
He's just so cute! But also.....yes we had four adults, a teen, and two boys all making sure baby bird was safe from the ravages of Baby Bug!
So sweet, and I am so happy we got to make friends with such an adorable baby bird in time to capture this beautiful Sunflower dress!
Happy Sewing!!
