Sometimes you just need something fantastical to lift your mood.
For us, it was this sweet little mermaid dress.
I had actually made this dress and did the shoot weeks ago when it was still semi warm outside. We took a walk with out good friends and our kids had fun running around BEHIND THE CAMERA!
I'm already missing those warm late fall days as we head into winter. So here's a little look back.
This sweet mermaid dress features....once again, the bodice of Aarhus from Little Lizard King.
I hope you like these corset back dresses, because I am NOT getting tired of making them.
The front bodice I did something a little different. I modified the neckline, and I did a stripe detailing with the middle panel. I raised the princess seams all the way to the shoulders to keep a more stripey look.
It actually took me longer than I care to admit to match up those stripes perfectly. So I'm going to pretend it was just no big deal. Hehe
The skirt is another Cannes from Little Lizard King, because again I had half a yard.
The fabric for this project is from Wee Little Things Fabric. They've recently lowered their prices on EVERYTHING and their TAT is insanely fast. I cannot say enough good things about their prices, TAT, and their AMAZING DBP.
So here's a little fantastical taken on a warm fall evening.
Happy Sewing!
