Mackinac Island Dress

Updated: Apr 14, 2021

Let me tell you....I love being a pattern tester.

I love to see the new designs.

I love to make the new designs.

I love to take pictures....oh I love to take all the pictures.

And I love when they get used by others besides just me!

So....here's the newest pattern from Little Lizard King!

This is the new Mackinac Island dress.

The most eye catching feature is definitely the back.

I made the bow V back version, but there's also a scoop back, with ties, knot, and even a button closure option.

The skirt comes in vintage, dress, and maxi options, with ruffles or no ruffles, as well as a pocket option! I added flutter sleeves, but this dress can also be sleeveless.

This is the dress length and it's one of my favorite little dresses!!

BUT WAIT......there's more....

Why YES....it DOES come in doll sizes!!

It is the perfect miniature of the girls dress!

Like the girls dress, this doll pattern comes in multiple sizes and options!

I actually didn't exactly match baby bug with her Edendoll.

While the doll pattern does also come with flutter sleeve options and ruffles, I chose to make a more simple version this time.

It could be that I ran out of the solid purple fabric, so couldn't finish the ruffles, or maybe I was just very overwhelmed with our move and it just seemed too much....

Whatever the reason, I chose to make a simple dress for Edendoll.

That did not stop Baby Bug from loving matching her dolly anyway! The child and doll pattern are even available in a bundle!

The fabric used for these sweet dresses comes from Dream Seams Fabric.

I just adore these adorable pair of patterns, and I love to be able to show them to the world!

Happy Sewing!!
