Oh my goodness, this is just too sweet.
This is the first pattern in the new spring collection from Sunflower Seams that I tested...and it was instant love!
The Laurel is such a sweet little sew that I now need to make EVERYTHING with.
The day I made this sweet little dress, I wanted to go out and grab pictures!
I got her all dressed up, got her new booties and hat on, and we headed out the door...
....and immediately came back inside!
That nice sunny day tricked me into thinking it was so much warmer than it actually was!!
It's alright though. After grabbing cute map pictures that day, the weather warmed up quite a bit a few days later and off to the woods we went!
Actually, it was more like off to grandmothers house we went...
...and stopped on the side of the road for 5min while I grabbed a few shots!!
E-Bug did great, however, and big brother is the 'baby whisperer' and got her to "do tricks" for me.
I'm hoping we are entering into a new stage of listening to direction and intentional photography rather than taking a thousand pictures (sometimes literally) and hoping I get lucky.
....who am I kidding, I don't think that stage is sometime soon!!
But I digress. Let me share more about the ACTUAL PATTERN rather than our photography adventures!
This pattern comes in baby and children sizing, as well as the bundle. I'm telling you...these babies in their Laurels are SO CUTE!
There are two skirt lengths, the vintage and dress. E-Bug is modeling the dress length. There's also a shirt option that is so cute on it's own or as a layering option!
Let's chat about those adorable sleeves. It can be sleeveless, cute puff sleeves, or even long puff sleeves! My favorite!
I would be silly not to point out that adorable tie neck detail!
The fabric for this project was an impulse buy from Joann...I was actually there to grab something for my Tulip (coming later) but saw this and knew it NEEDED to be her Laurel!
I know I say this about almost everything, but this is my favorite dress and shoot!! Sunflower Seams really put out an incredible spring collection and I'm so happy I can finally share them!
Happy sewing!!
