Don't you just LOVE breakthrough moments?? I always call her my little doll I get to dress up. What do you get when your doll has a doll to dress up?? DOLLCEPTION.

This girl uses almost a full yard of fabric in most of her clothing now. I always have these weird scraps. It's not enough to make another item of clothing, but also too much to throw away without me feeling bad. What to do?

I thought, "I'll just save the scraps for pattern testing". But most of the scrap fabric is knit, and knit patterns are few and far between. Maybe I'll make some undies for little miss when it's time for potty training. But then, it hit me.............she's almost the age for a dolly!!

There are so many dolly patterns and they match so many of the patterns I make for Baby Bug now! So I decided to jump right in.

Today little miss is wearing a Kyra by Simple Life Pattern Co. I love that she can wear it normal on warmer days, but I can throw a long sleeve shirt underneath on those cooler days.

I modified the top bodice slightly with a curved bottom, and mashed it with the bottoms of Little Lizard King's Napa. It's getting cooler, and I just can't get enough of these little harem style romper bottoms.

Dolly is wearing Simple Life's Adelyn. It's the first Dolly pattern I've made, and I literally couldn't stop giggling at how tiny everything is! I modified Dolly's dress to match baby Bug's, with the curved bodice.

I'm not exaggerating when I say it is the TINIEST thing I've ever made!! I added some free doll leggings from Made for Mermaids, and it is the sweetest little outfit EVER.

This amazing fabric is from Wanderlust Designs Custom Fabric. It is incredibly vibrant, and I've always loved the quality and service I've received from Wanderlust.

Baby Bug is currently matching my old American Girl Doll Samantha, but I don't REALLY want my two year old messing with my AG doll.

I have a plan. I will get her a less expensive 18" doll from Target! She definitely needs red hair and green eyes!

Someday....I need to get AG Blair for baby Bug!! But not when she's two. (hehe)

For now, I'm just really excited about making matching dolly clothes!

Happy Sewing!!
