Well go ahead and make yourself comfortable. Stay a while. You see....I have no less than NINE projects that I have been DYING to share, but have had to wait for the patterns to be released. Yes, I know it's seemed so quiet around here, and I do admit to not having AS MUCH sewing time due to the madness of getting our house ready to sell. However, I am now going to look like a complete lunatic because I will be sharing SO MANY all at the same time. So get ready for FUN TIMES WITH SHELLEY ahead.
I do want to make a *quick* note that I am sharing these in the chronological order that I made them in, and I really have no preference or liking one pattern/outfit more than any others...I can see all of these being made more than once (and yes....some of them already HAVE been made more than once and have even been mashed together or layered with other patterns!).
First up we have the brand new Benicia from Little Lizard King!
I feel like I've been sitting on this sweet pattern for SO LONG. Much longer than normal. Why? because I was able to help pretest this pattern, which adds extra time in the testing stage (for me).
I don't mind, really. This Benicia is such a quick and easy sew, that hardest part IS the waiting!
This sweet sweater dress releases Thursday, Feb. 25.
The first time I tested this sweet pattern, I used DBP and it was such a sweet cowl neck dress, it drapes so differently! For my final sew, however, I settled on this thicker, fluffier Hacci sweater knit from Knitpop.
She looks SO cozy in that soft cowl neck!
There are a few different options available in this new pattern. I obviously chose the cowl neck. For the sleeves, I am in LOVE with bishop style, so it definitely needed those amazing bishop style sleeves!
I chose the dress length, because I'm obsessed with dressing up my baby doll, but this pattern also comes in a top length, and makes a perfect layering sweater!
Every time she's wearing this adorable sweater dress, daddy comes home and just LOVES it!! He says it's his favorite style, and it's so soft he just loves his baby snuggles.
For this particular photo session, I made sure to bundle her up. She is wearing her warm boots, knee socks, and hat, but what you don't see is that I was also able to hide a long sleeve onesie underneath the dress as well....because layers work! This is probably her *warmest* snow session!!
......and it's NOT the only one to come!
****To be continued....****
Happy Sewing!!
