And Now We Add Tulle

I keep seeing some gorgeous tulle and thinking how much I want to add it to something special.

I mean, it always adds so much to projects.

The problem was.....I didn't think E-Bug was ready for something like this.

I mean, she's pretty rowdy. We often joke that she's another boy!

I was really worried that If I ever used tulle, she would rip it to shreds.

I mean, I made CC a tulle dress one time when she was about 8, and. she ripped it the first time she wore it. So sad.

So I'm starting out kind of small on the tulle.

I mean, there are some really incredible tulle dresses out there, with horsehair trim and such....

But right now, I'm just starting out with two layers of circle skirt tulle.

It's not even the huge gathered full tulle skirt. So simple.

Just a tiny bit to see how she's gonna react to it.

I have great news.

The first outing out in her tulle skirt, and not a single tear! Yay!

This dress is so soft, so so beautiful, and the drape is perfect for this pattern.

This beautiful fabric is my favorite DBP from Wee Little Things Fabric.

It has amazing drape and is so incredibly soft.

I love how DBP prints, the colors are so lovely and they don't fade after multiple washes.

I also love that the bottom circle skirt hem doesn't flip up like CL does sometimes.

Just beautiful.

The tulle is from a new-to-me shop called Tulletastic.

It's very soft and not stiff like most itchy tulle. I do like this tulle.

I did get a little frustrated ordering it, however. There is a 7-10 day processing time, which is okay, but after about 15days after the order I still hadn't received my shipping notice. I emailed the site, and the owner was nice and sent it the same day.

I will be ordering again, but making sure I have a long time before I need it. Maybe it was just a fluke and I ordered during a busy time for her or something.

The pattern for this project comes from Simple Life Pattern Co.

This is the Lola pattern, which is on sale now for the SLPCo Challenge! I modified the skirt myself.

I am absolutely in love with the way this all came together and think I need some more tulle in future projects now.

Happy Sewing!!
