So here we are, a few days later.
If you're wondering....NO.
The plumber never showed up.
I missed the homeschool community orientation meeting for literally nothing.
Even more, our plumbing isn't fixed.
Out new plan is to let the plumbing dry out a bit. So the kids and I live at home during the day, getting school, work, and chores done, but we head over to grandmas house for bathroom breaks and spend the night there.
We head over around dinnertime, so we don't use dishes that need cleaning at home.
It is very inconvenient, and the long walks back and forth are very cold, but we are grateful that we are taken care of.
We are done reaching out to that specific plumber and have another plumber coming on Saturday, so hopefully the crawlspace has time to air out and dry up a little.
What does this mean for the house?
I was getting a little excited at the thought of finishing the dining room this week.
I have one set of panels to build and instal and paint, one window to paint, and the radiator to paint. No water, however, means no washing brushes, which means no painting, which means no finishing the dining room this week. BUMMER.
HOWEVER............................
Because our water is essentially turned off, and Kevin and Richard are finishing up their project on the big house.........
.......we will being demo work in the master bathroom this week!
We are still waiting for the bathtub to arrive (it was scheduled to arrive Nov 30) but according to tracking, it finally made it to Norfolk from Cali....so there's hope it'll be here soon.
Now moving on to the outfit of the day, Eden is modeling my new pattern, Holly from Sunflower Seams.
This sweet dress is the layered version, and I added some soft nylon chiffon to the skirt. I used the short sleeves and the mock neck for this dress.
The fabric is again from Wee Little Things, but it was just so perfect for this.
So here's to another long wait, new projects, and hopefully a little less stress soon.
Happy Sewing!!
